About This Programme

This programme aims to produce graduates who are more mature and competent to fulfil nation needs of skill and experts in the field of Civil Engineering whether in the public, private or self employed sector. The program also prepares students to further their studies to degree level at any university within or outside the country.

Further Study Opportunity

Upon successful completion of the diploma course, you can apply for a place in the Engineering Technology Faculty or Civil and Environmental Engineering Faculty, at UTHM or any higher institution to obtain the respective degree in Civil Engineering Technology or Civil Engineering.

Career Prospects

Civil engineer assistant job provides technical support to civil engineers on construction projects in the following areas:

  • Structural – bridges, dams, buildings, offshore platforms and pipelines
  • Transportation – roads, railways, tunnels and airports
  • Environmental – public water supply networks, irrigation, drainage, waste disposal and sewage treatment
  • Maritime – ports, harbours and sea defences.

MEMENUHI SYARAT AM DAN SYARAT KHAS UNIVERSITI

Lepasan SPM perlu mendapat sekurang-kurangnya:

Kepujian (Gred C) dalam mata

  1. pelajaran Matematik di peringkat SPM

dan

  1. Kepujian gred (C) dalam mana-mana DUA (2) mata pelajaran berikut yang diambil di peringkat SPM:
  • Fizik / Kimia / Biologi / Matematik Tambahan / Sains / Sains Tambahan / Grafik Komunikasi Teknikal / Asas Kelestarian/ Pertanian / Sains Rumah Tangga / Reka Cipta / Sains Komputer / Sains Sukan / Pengajian Kejuruteraan Elektrik dan Elektronik / Pengajian Kejuruteraan Mekanikal / Pengajian Kejuruteraan Awam / Lukisan Kejuruteraan.

dan

Lulus (Gred E) dalam mata

  1. pelajaran Bahasa Inggeris di peringkat SPM

ATAU

Lulus APEL A Tahap 4

dan

Calon TIDAK mempunyai ketidakupayaan anggota yang menyukarkan kerja amali.
