About This Programme
This programme aims to produce graduates who are more mature and competent, to fulfil the nation needs of skill and experts in the field of mechanical engineering whether in the public, private or self employed sector. The program also prepares students to further their studies to degree level at any university within or outside the country.

Career Prospects
Assistant Mechanical Engineer or technologist is involved in machine design, machines troubleshooting and any of the wide range of projects in mechanical engineering.
Their role is central to ensuring the safe, timely and well-resourced completion of projects in many areas, including:
- process industry
- assembly industry
- engineering consultancy
- heavy industry
Assistant of consulting mechanical engineers liaise with clients to plan, manage, design and supervise the mechanical of projects.

Lepasan SPM perlu mendapat sekurang-kurangnya:
- Kepujian (Gred C) dalam mata pelajaran Matematik di peringkat SPM
dan
- Kepujian gred (C) dalam mana-mana DUA (2) mata pelajaran berikut yang diambil di peringkat SPM:
- Fizik / Kimia / Biologi / Matematik Tambahan / Sains /Sains Tambahan / Grafik Komunikasi Teknikal / Asas Kelestarian / Pertanian / Sains Rumah Tangga / Reka Cipta / Sains Komputer / Sains Sukan / Pengajian Kejuruteraan Elektrik dan Elektronik / Pengajian Kejuruteraan Mekanikal / Pengajian Kejuruteraan Awam / Lukisan Kejuruteraan.
dan
- Lulus (Gred E) dalam mata pelajaran Bahasa Inggeris di peringkat SPM
ATAU
Lulus APEL A Tahap 4
dan
Calon TIDAK mempunyai ketidakupayaan anggota yang menyukarkan kerja amali.
