Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Electrical Engineering

Doctor of Philosophy in Electrical Engineering is a research program where students are given opportunity to demonstrate critical understanding of the most advanced knowledge at the frontiers of Electrical and Electronic Engineering. It covers multiple electrical and electronic engineering disciplines such as Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Medical Electronic Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, Communication Engineering and Microelectronic Engineering, or any Electrical and Electronic disciplines. Students will be trained to be competent in the field of electrical and electronic engineering with a high standard of ethics and professionalism.

Apart from doing the research work, the student will attend Research Methodology class, writing academic skills such as in research paper publication as well presenting their research work. The student needs to submit research progress report every semester and needs to conduct the Proposal Defence, Progress Presentation, Pre-Viva and Viva.

Duration  : Full time – 4 to 14 semesters.
                   Part time – 8 to 18 semesters.
Intake      : Throughout the Year.
