About This Programme

The Master of Information Technology (MIC) at Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM), offered through the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology (FSKTM), is a coursework-based postgraduate program tailored to meet the demands of the rapidly evolving digital era and Industry 4.0 landscape. This program emphasizes the integration of technical knowledge, strategic thinking, and professional practice to develop graduates who are not only proficient in information technology but also capable of driving digital innovation and organizational transformation. Students will be exposed to advanced concepts in IT governance, information security, business process reengineering, digital transformation, and data-driven decision-making.

    • Data Analytics & Visualization – using data tools to analyze information and present it for decision-making.
    • Information & Digital Security – protecting systems and data against cyber threats.
    • Business Process & Digital Transformation – improving processes and driving innovation with technology.
    • Emerging Technologies – exploring areas like Internet of Things (IoT), Big Data, and Cloud solutions.
    • Research & Project Work – applying knowledge to solve real-world or industry-related problems.
